Son Heung-min (Tottenham), who scored the winning goal, drew an own goal, and set up the winning goal in his four-match comeback from injury, has been named to the BBC's Best 11 for the eighth round of the 2024-2025 English Professional Soccer Premier League.
The BBC unveiled its EPL Team of the Week for the eighth round on its website on Aug. 22 (local time), with Watford striker Troy Deeney among the selections.
Son Heung-min was named alongside Muhammad Salah (Liverpool) and Chris Wood (Nottingham) in the frontline attack.
Son scored his third league goal of the season in the eighth round of the EPL against West Ham United at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, England, on Nov. 19, scoring the winner in the 15th minute of the second half with his team leading 3-1.

“The captain scored the last goal of the game to give Tottenham the three points,” Deeney said of Son, adding, ”He played a good 65 minutes in his comeback from injury, running around consistently.”
However, Son didn't make the EPL's best 11 for Round 8, as selected by the EPL office.
Alan Shearer's EPL Team of the Week for Round 8 did not include Son, with teammates Dejan Kulusevski and Yves Bissouma named in the midfield alongside him.
